Wyoming Archaeological Repository (UWAR) Exhibit

The University of Wyoming Archaeological Repository (UWAR) constructs an exhibit for the public during Archaeology Awareness Month using items from its collections.  The display highlights and demonstrates the site, theme, or topic on the Archaeology Awareness Month poster.  Located in Cheyenne in the lobby of the Barrett Building outside the entryway to the State Museum, the UWAR exhibit is available for viewing for an entire year

Annual WAAM Poster

The annual WAAM poster is produced by Judy Wolf of the State Historic Preservation Office and distributed statewide, nationally, and internationally to more than 5,000 people and organizations to announce Wyoming Archaeology Awareness Month. Wyoming posters have been honored with numerous awards in the State Archaeology Week Poster Contest sponsored by the Society for American Archaeology’s Public Education Committee and Council of Affiliated Societies.
